Military/Aerospace Company is Hiring a Power Supply Sales Manager Near Carson, CA

Job Summary

Our 50 year old Carson, California, company strongly supports the Hi-Rel and Defense power supply design-manufacture marketplace. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and product focused Power Supply Sales Manager with strong ties to the Defense industry contacts, to join our team. This person must have sufficient technical power supply background, know military qualification requirements and standards, and be effective in interfacing both with company engineers and with Defense customer’s program managers, engineers and procurement departments.

Responsibilities

· New business development and key account management for power supplies (including customer follow-up, active project management, and contract negotiations).

· Knowledgeable about the power supply industry and able to present and discuss our current and potential technical design products and Statement of Work (SOW) with new potential customers.

· Plan and execute the market strategies and create market overviews (including competitor analysis).

· Be a key account manager to create and deploy strategy with deep understanding of customer requirements.

· Provide data and sales reports for monthly reviews.

· Collect and analyze the current power supply market segment including market trends, competitors, and technology movement.

· Participate and advertise at various Military (DoD) and Prime Contractor Expos, Trade Shows and onsite visits to customer (and potential customer) locations throughout California and the rest of the US.

Qualifications

· 6 years in management, marketing & sales with product development experience in military power supplies and defense programs.

· Must be knowledgeable in switching power technologies and DC-DC as well as AC-DC converters from 500w “bricks”, to 5Kw modules, to full power 500Kw systems.

· Capable of successfully developing and marketing a catalog of power bricks.

· Able to discuss and communicate technical power supply details with customers.

· Preferred degree in business, engineering, or other relevant degrees with strong technical background in power electronics.

· Candidates with a strong and wide existing contact network in the military electronics market is considered a plus.

· Ability to directly support our California business and able to set up a strategic US Reps network, and be able to periodically travel to support our US customers and Defense groups.

· Experience with project management, Defense contracts and Mil Standards.

· Proficient in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and presenting to customers.

· The position requires U.S. Citizenship and may require to hold a limited security clearance.

Compensation

· $60k to $90k base, plus incentive commission opportunities for generating new business customers and opportunities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
