Milan Puskar Health Right has an immediate opening for a full-time Registered Nurse. Candidate will require a WV State RN License, 3-5 years of primary care experience preferred and excellent organizational skills. Good communication and rapport building skills and ability to work with a small team. Experience with patients with mental illness, substance abuse, and vulnerable populations is a plus.

Tasks

• Function within the scope of practice for registered nurses in the state of WV.
• Review patient records to determine health status.
• Review lab tests, report abnormal findings and contact patient with results.
• Maintain clinic flow and ensure patients are prepared to be seen by a provider promptly.
• Perform ancillary services as required such as phlebotomy, EKG hookup, injections, removal of superficial foreign bodies, application of dressing and bandages, care and suturing of minor lacerations, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, etc.
• Collaborate with a large volunteer pool throughout the clinic, including volunteer physicians, pharmacists, nurses, therapists, etc.
• Interact in a positive professional manner with clients/patients, volunteers and co-workers.
• Provide wound care to participants of the LIGHT Project
• Maintain communication between governing boards, medical staff, and department heads by attending Leadership Team meetings and coordinating interdepartmental functioning.
• Provide clients/patients with information needed to promote health, reduce risk factors, or prevent disease or disability
• Plan, implement, and administer programs and services in a health care or medical facility, including personnel administration, training, and coordination of medical and nursing staff.
• Work closely with the clinic manager to ensure the work of office, administrative, or customer service employees adheres to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors, or problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (BSN preferred)
• Current West Virginia licensure.
• Prior experience in a primary care setting preferred.
• Experience and commitment to working with vulnerable populations.
• Excellent clinical, diagnostic and judgment skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
