NATURE OF WORK:Thisposition is responsible for program medical oversightof the program area.Works to serve severe and persistently mentally ill consumers withinValley’s catchment area.Assists withthe appropriateness of new referrals into program and serves as the RNperforming medical oversight of the consumers needs.The RN acts as a medical resource individualfor team.The RN will uphold the agencyand program mission/values by offering professional nursing services to clientsto ensure optimum service planning and delivery.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma.
• Current W.V. License from the West Virginia Board of Examiners forRegistered Nurses.
• Previous experience working with individualswith a diagnosis in at least one of the following populations:MH, MR/DD, or CD.
• Knowledge of nursing protocol, theories,principals and practices of nursing.
• Ability to comply with Client’s Rights.
• Ability to comply with Valley’s and Divisiondepartmental safety procedures.
• Ability to read, write and speak the Englishlanguage.
• Ability to legally transport clients.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or theability to be trained.
• Basic computer skills
