Shift 2 (United States of America) Job Description Position Summary: Shift/Work schedule/Overtime: 2nd 3p-11p. Must train on 1st Position Summary: Milacron is looking for a Polisher to join our team in Mt. Orab, OH. As a Polisher you will be responsible to set-up and operate a variety of polishing machines and hand tools to produce a finish, often of a complex nature. Achieve specified micro finishes; polish to form sharp corners, ensure product meets customer and company specifications. Work You’ll Do: Verify correct product using job traveler to set-up and operate a variety of machinery to blueprint specifications, reading part drawing with sectional views. Achieve specified micro finishes; polish to form sharp corners, hold specified limits on I.D. using deburring tools with special cutters on a variety of production parts. Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of production. Monitor inventory levels and report low levels and discrepancies to supervisor. Work independently; assist and train less experienced machinists to maintain plant standards in areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, 5S, housekeeping, teamwork, and attendance. Demonstrate personal leadership; actively participate in or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts, recommend improvements for area product and processes. Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Team: This role will be a part of the Machine Screw group manufacturing/production team. Basic Qualifications: 1 years of related experience or training: or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Dependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills, and team player Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is met Basic computer skills with the ability to perform and interpret computer functions Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is preferred Currently enrolled in technical program such as machining, welding, industrial equipment, or manufacturing engineering. Experience with precision tools and blueprints preferred.
