Shift 3 (United States of America) Position Summary: Milacron is looking for an Outside Diameter Grinder Operator to join our team in Mt. Orab, OH. As an Outside Diameter Grinder Operator, you will be responsible to set-up, operate and maintain grinding machines that are designed to remove excess material from the outside diameter of cylindrical material metals. Work You’ll Do after training: Set up and operate grinding machines to grind external surfaces of the workpieces to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions. Measure workpieces and verify dimensions using precision scales, micrometers, and gauges. Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure that surfaces and dimensions meet specifications. Select and mount grinding wheels on machines, according to specifications, using hand tools and applying knowledge of abrasives and grinding procedures. Perform basic maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating machine parts. Remove and replace worn or broken machine parts, using hand tools. Dress grinding wheels, according to specifications. Monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary, stopping machines when problems occur. Team: This role will be a part of the MT. Orab Screw Group manufacturing/production team. Basic Qualifications: Dependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills, and a trustworthy team player. Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is met. Basic computer skills with the ability to perform and interpret computer functions. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in precision measuring tools. Manufacturing blueprint knowledge. High school diploma or GED. Currently enrolled in technical program such as machining, welding, industrial equipment, or manufacturing engineering. 1 years of related experience or training: or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
