Architecture and Design Outside Sales Representative
DEPARTMENT: Omaha
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

GRADE: Salary – Base salary plus commission pay

HOURS: M-F8am – 5pm and 1 Saturday 9am-noon a month

Summary:

A&D sales representative positions have a base salary pay and a commission structure pay. Commissions are paid the first payroll of the month, following the end of the month and 30 days for processing. Commission pay is only paid on paid in full sales.

This position serves as the point person for current Midwest Tile Omaha, NE architecture and design clients and customer base. This role is responsible for identifying and contacting new/prospective clients, generating new and addition sales, and new opportunities for Midwest Tile. Developing a strong knowledge base of all tile lines including Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP), is extremely important and vital to success in this position, as is communicating in a way that drive’s excitement about Midwest Tile products and continual growth in the marketplace. This position at times will also assist in day-to-day operations such as answering phone calls, assisting with customers (walk-ins), office duties, inventory, any overall branch needs. A team mentality is vital along with, a positive demeanor, the ability to multitask, and true passion for tile and design.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Plan and schedule visits to existing and potential accounts in assigned territory; establish and maintain positive rapport with clients

· Prepare and present proposals, quotes and recommend products based on clients’ needs

· Identify prospective clients and set up meetings

· Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales

· Be forward focused on new products, styles, and trends

· Answer questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms

· Plan, assemble, and stock product displays in stores, or make recommendations

· Maintain detailed files and type proposals, letters, and miscellaneous correspondence

· Complete weekly call reports

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned to or as operational needs dictate

· Regular reliable attendance is an essential requirement for the job

Qualifications:

· Possession of an associate’s degree or at least two years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, organize and prioritize

• Ability to identify and/or follow up sales leads and referrals

· Excellent customer relations skills

· Valid driver’s license and ability for local travel

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

· Light work. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Frequent lifting, bending, standing, sitting

· Occasionally pushing and pulling

· Primarily exposed to Indoor elements

· Some travel required

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
