Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Person to join our team. You will be responsible for supervising and performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities, conduct periodic property inspections, and assist with tenant turnovers. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance: Perform inspections and maintenance tasks on properties managed by the company. This includes tasks such as HVAC system checks, plumbing repairs, electrical maintenance, and general building upkeep.
Tenant Requests and Repairs: Handle maintenance requests from tenants promptly and effectively. Tasks may include leaky faucets, minor appliance repairs, broken light fixtures, etc. Supervise and coordinate the work of other maintenance staff members/subcontractors. Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance-related issues in a timely manner.
Property Inspections: Conduct periodic inspections of all properties to identify any maintenance or repairs needed to prevent larger issues from occurring.
Apartment Turnovers: Assist with the turnover process. This may involve tasks such as painting, cleaning, minor repairs, and coordinating with contractors for larger renovation projects.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of all repairs/maintenance, which may include work orders, repair logs, and/or inspection reports. Provide updates to the property management team.
Qualifications:
● Knowledge of repairs in minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry and handyman related repairs.
● Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintenance operations.
● Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
● Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically and troubleshoot issues. ● Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
● Experience working in painting and drywall repairs.
● Valid driver’s license and working car (truck preferred).
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000 plus Benefits
Expected hours: 40 hours per week.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, and on-call as needed.
