Crisis Intervention personnel are responsible for meeting the needs of transitional housing, The Rise residents.
Required Qualifications:
● Knowledge of the impact of domestic violence for children and families
● Must be highly reliable, professional, mature, reflective, and able to work well with others
● Excellent communication skills, empathy, self-awareness, ethical responsibility and demonstrated history of good judgment
● Excellent listening skills
● Strong problem-solving skills
● Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with diverse individuals
● Familiarity with intersectional approaches to human services, and anti-oppression theories and frameworks
● Proactive and passionate work ethic
● Commitment to ongoing cultural competency training and continued education
● Reliable transportation
● Basic computer/database skills
● Expertise in working with folks in the LGBTQIA community
● Understanding of incarceration, addiction, and recovery
● Knowledge of local community resources
● Experience and comfort working with parents and families in crisis
Responsibilities:
· Make hourly rounds inside building, document/record rounds
· Briefly surveying the area outside of the front and back door during rounds
· Watch video and take appropriate notes
· Perform light house-keeping duties as assigned
· Answering phone and forward messages to appropriate people
· Communicate with day staff through log book/notes
· Reminding residents rule of The Rise
· Intervening in the even to personal/building related crisis
· Attend all Crisis Intervention meetings
· Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
