Job Summary:
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and efficient Front Desk Receptionist to join our fast-paced medical office team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a busy environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and ensure a positive experience from the moment they enter the office.
  • Efficiently check patients in and out, verifying necessary information and updating records as needed.
  • Maintain the fax inbox and handle incoming referrals promptly and accurately.
  • Schedule appointments, both new patient visits and follow-ups, utilizing our scheduling system effectively.
  • Answer incoming calls and inquiries professionally, providing information and assistance as required.
  • Collect copays and payments from patients, accurately recording transactions and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
  • Verify insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork, including copying insurance cards.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and provide support to medical staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or similar customer service role preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records and scheduling systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work hard and adapt to changing demands.
