Television Hair/Makeup Artist
The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a dynamic, experienced Hair/Makeup Artist at our headquarters in Springfield, VA. MBN is a non-profit grantee of the federal government that directly communicates with the people of the Middle East and North Africa through television, radio, and digital media. MBN's mission is to provide objective, accurate, and relevant news and information to the people of the Middle East about the region, the world, and the United States in support of U.S. public diplomacy.
The Hair and Makeup Artist is responsible for implementing hair and make-up presentation for television and digital on-screen talent. Hours will vary based on need. It can range from 0-15 hours a week.
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Makeup and Hair Stylist include, but are not limited to:
· Applying appropriate hair care techniques.
- Styling hair with blow dryer and hot hair tools.
- Ensuring makeup meets MBN guidelines.
- Ensuring makeup looks natural and well-applied under different lighting.
- Demonstrating proficiency in face contouring and enhancing features.
- Utilizing appropriate blending techniques.
- Applying professional makeup and hairstyles with ease and in less than 30 minutes.
- Providing touch ups as needed
- Able to take direction with ease and performing makeup and hair styles according to company brand
- Demonstrating knowledge of proper techniques for different hair types and styles to create an optimal look.
Candidates are required to have:
- Makeup and hair cut academy certification or at least 5 years experience for major makeup brand or makeup studio and hair styles
- Artist Portfolio.
- Ability to create female and male hair styles.
- Proficiency in female and male makeup application.
- Strong facial contouring skills and HD Makeup knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hair care products and tools
