Mid Michigan Recovery Services is Hiring a Program Coordinator Near Lansing, MI

GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

The Residential Programs Coordinator is responsible for daily oversight of one of our agency residential program(s).

The duties include oversight of para-professional programmatic services, facility operations and upkeep and collaborative oversight of wellness and educational programming. This position is responsible for assuring that supervised staff, facility and records meet or exceed licensing, accreditation and agency standards. The Residential Programs Coordinator serves as an MMRS Inc. leadership team member and will assist with strategic planning, contract and grant management as assigned as well as identification of staff training needs.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides individual, MCBAP supervision and group supervision for all residential para-professional, case management and peer support staff to comply with clinical programmatic requirements, accreditation, and agency standards.
  • Works closely in coordinating services with residential clinical therapy staff to assure quality clinical documentation that meets all licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Provides assessments, group and individual counseling services to clients as needed for the program.
  • Articulates and demonstrates a working knowledge of Person-Centered Care, Recovery Oriented Systems of Care, Integrated Care and Diverse Therapeutic Interventions.
  • Conducts annual performance evaluations of staff persons under their supervision with appropriate input from administrative, management and clinical staff.
  • Monitors and evaluates all clinical case management, peer support and para-professional driven activities and programs through direct supervision, review of case files, staff meetings, case presentations, internal and external audits, site visits and reviews.
  • Disseminates contractual and managed care requirements to staff as appropriate to assure compliance.
  • Conducts and oversees quantitative/qualitative file reviews at all program sites, as assigned.
  • Compiles and reports on Client Satisfaction Surveys and other program evaluation documents.
  • Conducts measurable quality reviews in area of staff development, residential operations, clinical documentation, professional documentation. Creates measurable targets for para-professional staff in connection with strategic vision, mission and agency goals.
  • Responsible for creating and conducting employee orientation (in collaboration with HR Administrator) in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with agency requirements.
  • Works closely with the Records and Reimbursement Associate to assure authorization and reimbursement procedures are followed as appropriate and documentation and reporting standards are adhered to.
  • Collaboratively works with the designated agency Recipient Rights Advisor to ensure excellence in client care and adherence to rights standards.
  • Assures all MMRS Inc. staff is empowered and trained to demonstrate an active knowledge of residential program, and agency policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates professional integrity, cultural competency and the ability to effectively work with diverse populations.
  • Works closely with the maintenance staff to assure that property is maintained and clean at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong relational, verbal and written communication skills with referral sources, staff, board, and community partners.
  • Demonstrates ability to participate in conflict resolution session with agency staffer as need.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position requires on call hours as the program requires 24/7 oversight which may require consultation during the evenings, overnights or on weekends. Responsibilities will be shared with additional clinical staff.
  • Represents the agency on community committees and workgroups aimed at improving coordination of services, access to services and related issues.
  • Attends and participates in ongoing staff development activities that support professional development and enhance skills in case management.
  • Promotes Mid-Michigan Recovery Services Inc.’s [MMRS Inc.] philosophy and mission through personal attitudes, actions and behaviors.
  • Demonstrates cultural competency and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
  • Strictly adheres to all federal and state laws, rules, regulations and MMRS Inc. policies and procedures regarding the confidentiality of client information and client rights.
  • Participates in Clinical Group Supervision, Clinical Staff Meetings, committees, general staff meetings and other agency activities as requested and/or assigned.
  • Participates in program staff meetings, para-professional in-service trainings and other agency activities as requested and assigned.
  • Performs other related administrative and facility care duties as assigned
  • Complies with agencies conflict resolution protocols.


SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS:

Supervised by the Assistant Director, Clinical Services.


QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work or a related human service field with licensure by State of Michigan. Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) is desired or preferred CAADC developmental plan candidates. Or willing to start CAADC developmental plan upon being hired.

Minimum of two years of clinical experience in substance abuse field desired. Supervisory experience is desired.
