Microsoft Legal Department is Hiring a Remote Product Management

Job Duties

Microsoft Corporation has the following job opportunity:

Leverage reports, dashboards, tabular models and analytical insights to drive business success. Apply customer and competitor insights to create business plans, explore new business opportunities, facilitate introduction of product features, and devise initiatives to grow users and engagement. Collaborate with cross functional teams to determine potential sales of Microsoft’s products or services. Develop the end-to-end user experience, product roadmap, and monitor the complete product lifecycle, which may include product definition and planning through development, release, modifications, upgrades, maintenance, and product retirement. Prioritize customer and product success criteria. Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. Serve as "the voice of the customer" and engage in technical product management activities that facilitate customer use and drive long-term value creation. Telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering; IT; Technology Management; or a related field.
  • Experience: 24 months of software-related, centralized and coordinated program, product, or project management experience and/or experience in designing, developing and releasing software products or services.
  • Education or Experience in: Coordinating program development of computer software applications/systems/services from design through product release; Managing software or business processes for operations, systems, projects, tools or policies; SQL and/or T-SQL; Reporting; and User Acceptance Testing.

Pay Range and Benefits Information

The offered base pay range for this specific position (V11612443.a ), based in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is $181,200 to $211,200 per year.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others. U.S.-based employees also receive, per calendar year, up to 10 scheduled paid holidays, and up to 80 hours Holistic Health Time Off. Additionally, hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid vacation time, and salaried/exempt employees have Discretionary Time Off (DTO).
