Responsible for developing or testing computer software applications, systems or services. Conduct research and lead research collaborations that yield new insights, theories, and analyses. Evaluate data, algorithms, and prototypes that advance state-of-the-art technology. Develop reports, dashboards, tabular models and analytical insights to drive business success. Produce business intelligence (BI) information by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources. Design and build BI solutions that improve Microsoft products. Analyze data using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Document and share best practices for BI and reporting, and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the impact of Microsoft products. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.
-Education: Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence; Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
-Experience: 36 months software development experience formulating and analyzing software requirements.
-Specific Skills: Must have 36 months of experience in each of the following: SQL and/or T-SQL; Data Warehousing; ETL; SDLC; Big data modeling and analysis; User Acceptance Testing; and Managing software or business processes for operations, systems, projects, tools or policies.
-Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.

The offered base pay range for this specific position (EG2406828), in Redmond, WA, is $190,190 to $220,190 per year.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others. U.S.-based employees also receive, per calendar year, up to 10 scheduled paid holidays, and up to 80 hours Holistic Health Time Off. Additionally, hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid vacation time, and salaried/exempt employees have Discretionary Time Off (DTO).
