Join our community of exceptional people doing incredible things. Job Description: Microchip Technology is seeking a dynamic Senior Human Resources Business Partner for our Austin, TX office. In our fast-paced environment, we are seeking a motivated team player that will understand the business and culture to provide strategic talent consult for impact and growth. The right candidate will be responsible for working with the leadership team and employees in various business units primarily in Texas. This position will be responsible for business partnership working through, staffing, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, training and development, and compliance support in their assigned teams. Responsibilities: HR Business Partner for assigned business groups and management teams Deliver HR services and programs, act as advisor and coach to managers and employees Ensure the timely filling of open requisitions with highly qualified employees Administer performance management, compensation, and benefit programs, including leave of absence requests and workers compensation claims, as well as ongoing employee benefit inquiries Handle employee relations, including conducting investigations Gather, track and report HR metrics Facilitate deployment of HR systems and processes Coordinate immigration administration with employees Conduct new hire orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of our policies, procedures, and benefit programs Provide Affirmative Action compliance support and conducting community outreach efforts Manage all onboarding tasks for all new hires, process I9 verifications, and E-Verify Coordinate and assist with the yearly benefits open enrollment activities, employee benefit events, and wellness activities Filing, maintain, and audit HR personnel files and HRIS system files and file room maintenance Run weekly/monthly/quarterly reports Perform other duties and projects as assigned Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of HRBP experience Strong track record as an HR Business Partner supporting technical engineering and sales teams Experience in performance management and compensation practices Knowledge of Immigration practices Skilled in working with HRIS and ATS systems such as Workday and Workday Recruit Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in resolving sensitive issues Demonstrated success in delivering HR programs that advance the business Have analytical skills and problem-solving skills Excellent time management skills and paying attention to details Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to manage and accommodate changing priorities Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality Excellent customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communications skills Ability to lift, pull, and carry heavy/bulky personnel files Preferred Qualifications: High Tech industry experience strongly preferred HR Certification preferred Travel Time: 0% - 25% Physical Attributes: Feeling, Handling, Hearing, Reaching, Seeing, Talking, Works Around Others Physical Requirements: Standing 10%, Walking 10%, Sitting 80%, Inside 100% M-F 8-5pm Microchip Technology Inc is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
