Miami Valley Gaming is Hiring a Benefits and Leave Administrator Near Lebanon, OH

SUMMARY: Manages and administers the day-to-day and long-term operations of leave of absence cases,
Workers' Compensation claims and unemployment claims. Effectively coordinates all cases/claims to include
general administration, comprehensive case management and program compliance with the Family and
Medical Leave Act and all related employment laws. Responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day
operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life
insurance, travel and accident plan, flexible spending plan) while providing excellent customer service to our
team members.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serves as the HR point of contact with regard to leaves of absence, Workers' Compensation claims and unemployment claims for all team members with decision-making responsibility.
  • Ensures compliance with government regulations. Ensures the timeliness and accuracy of required reports and fees.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and administrator of leaves in accordance with applicable federal and state employment laws.
  • Facilitates and coordinates activities for disability services, provides ADA compliance.
  • Performs safety assessments concentrating on special focus areas safeguarding all team members and guests reducing organizational risk.
  • Evaluates and revises internal processes to reduce cost and increase efficiency. Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators. Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration. Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes. Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees. Coordinate daily benefits processing including, but not limited to enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing. Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update payroll records.
  • Gather data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans. Allocate group health and dental claims monthly and reviews quarterly.
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package.
  • Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions. Provide training and support to other HR staff and team members.
  • Participates in developing department goals and objectives.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of the HR department in relation to established goals.
  • Recommends new approaches, ideas and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the HR department and the services performed.
  • Develops and maintains records, reports, and logs for various HR functions. Assists with execution of recognition programs, and team member events. Participates in HR staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as directed.
  • Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
