In most cases, families must earn 100% of the Federal Poverty Level or less. Children experiencing homelessness or who are in foster or kinship care also are eligible. In some cases, children with disabilities may qualify.

The EHS program serves infants and toddlers starting at 6 weeks of age up to 3 years old.

Classification: 40 hours. Full-Time. Full-Year Non-Exempt.
Position Details: As the ASSISTANT TEACHER you are responsible for supporting the planning and implementing of the designated curriculum and supporting the implementation of daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for young children. You will support classroom management ensuring ratio and daily performance standards, assist with analysis of children's progress in accordance with Federal outcomes. You will support and ensure compliance with ODJFS, USDA, Health and Sanitation and Regulations.
Early & Head Start
Minimum Credentials: Must have a High School Diploma with a commitment to complete a CDA or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development within 2 years from date of hire (ages birth -5 years).
Preferred Credentials: Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or related field and 1-2 years teaching experience.
Reports To: HS or EHS Lead Teacher
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
SALARY: Base salary compensation will be commensurate with meeting both Education and Experience.
