About Us:Miami Valley Child Development Centers is southwest Ohio’s Head Start agency. For over 55 years, we’ve been providing FREE early learning and childcare to children from 6 weeks to age 5. We have Family Support Specialists, Home Visitors and Coaches ready to partner with you on this journey.

In most cases, families must earn 100% of the Federal Poverty Level or less. Children experiencing homelessness or who are in foster or kinship care also are eligible. In some cases, children with disabilities may qualify.

We have full-day and part-day options at our more than 27 convenient locations in Montgomery, Clark, and Madison counties. The EHS program serves infants and toddlers starting at 6 weeks of age up to 3 years old.

Classification: 40 hours. Full-Time. Full-Year. Exempt.

Position Details: The Director of Health and Nutrition manages all assigned activities for Health and Nutrition services for all MVCDC centers. Ensure compliance with all Head Start Performance Standards, State Day Care Licensing, USDA, ODJFS, and MVCDC regulations, policies, and procedures; provides/coordinates training and technical assistance to the component staff, other MVCDC staff, parents and volunteers. Assists with department planning as it relates to wellness and health related topics, implementation, and monitoring of program operations, including COVID and emergency preparedness.

Early & Head Start 

Minimum Credentials: Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or Nursing with a current licensure. Five years' experience in child health issues and supervisory experience.
