Montessori School of Miami Shores is currently seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Montessori Teacher to inspire and guide children aged 3-6 years old in their educational journey. As a key member of our teaching team, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating Montessori environment that promotes independence, exploration, and a love for learning.

Responsibilities:

Classroom Management:

  • Establish and maintain an authentic Montessori classroom that aligns with the developmental needs of 3-6-year-old children.
  • Foster a culture of respect, responsibility, and cooperation among students.

Curriculum Development:

  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate Montessori lesson plans and activities.
  • Integrate the Montessori materials and philosophy into daily classroom experiences.

Observation and Assessment:

  • Conduct ongoing observations to understand each child's unique learning style and developmental progress.
  • Use assessment tools to track and communicate children's achievements to parents.

Parent Communication:

  • Establish open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's experiences and progress.
  • Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss individualized learning plans.

Professional Development:

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in Montessori education and early childhood teaching methodologies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and activities.

Classroom Environment:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing classroom that reflects Montessori principles.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care.

Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Montessori certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience as a Montessori teacher in a 3-6 age group setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and the Montessori philosophy.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
