Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Two years of experience in maintenance, overhaul, and repair of heavy automotive equipment or diesel powered construction equipment are required.
Must possess a CDL / Class A or obtain a CDL / Class A prior to the completion of the one-year probationary period. Must be able to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must possess a Refrigerant Certification from an EPA-approved technician program in accordance with EPA, Section 609 of the Clean Air Act OR obtain the certification within 6 months of employment.

Overview of the Position
The incumbent in this role is responsible for providing support to the operation of all County departments and producing revenue for the ISD Fleet Management Division.
This role will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on heavy truck engine and equipment issues while working efficiently with minimal vehicle maintenance downtime.
Other responsibilities include providing an adequate level of service to our customers so they may, in turn, perform their service to the community.
Department Overview
ISD provides a wide range of internal support services for the ongoing operation of County government which focuses on promoting operational best practices and efficient government operations.
Through these various business lines, ISD is engaged in real estate development and management, Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, elevator regulation, materials management, and parking services.
