Hours of work are 4:30pm to 1:00am

Job Summary

Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Perform assigned machinery preventive maintenance.
• Complete repair tasks as assigned on the machinery/equipment.
• Work on projects, machinery, equipment, fabrication and the facility.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must be teachable, able to follow directions and willing to learn new skills, and new methods of completing work and tasks.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other maintenance and plant personnel, both in oral and written form. Writing must be legible.
• Be able to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow all maintenance bulletins, practice safe working habits, and document/ report unsafe working conditions.
• Must be able to climb in, underneath and on top of the machinery as needed in the process of completing assigned work. Using ladders and the scissor lift as needed.
• Must be willing to perform, or learn to perform, cleaning and inspections of the production machinery which will include using grease guns, hand application of lubricants, and solvents.
• Be able to perform cleaning duties which will include sweeping, dusting, using the shop vacuum and hand cleaning of the plant equipment.
• Must be willing and able to learn how to operate the production machinery as it pertains to that portion of completing the assigned preventive maintenance.

Work Environment

• Must be able to bend, lift, squat, twist, stand and move repetitively for 8-10 hours a day.
• Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds and occasionally as much as 100 pounds.
• Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, height extremes, temperature extremes, indoors and outdoors to complete work assignments.
• Crawl and kneel as required to access areas requiring repair or installation or handling parts and materials.
• PPE Required: Steel-toed safety shoes, Safety Glasses and Hearing Protection on manufacturing floor.
• Noise level in this work environment is moderate.
• Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
• Must be able to work from scissor lifts, step ladders, and platforms.

Education and Certification Qualifications

• Vocational or specialized training beyond high school in electronics/industrial maintenance or minimum of 2 years of proven experience in industrial electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic fields is required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
