The Contract Administrator is a senior member of the firms accounting department and works under the direct supervision of the Controller. The Contract Administrator serves as the companys primary resource for contract reviews and is also responsible for job costing.

Essential Functions (Role-Specific Competencies)

Finance - Contract Administrator

Level 4 (Company Expert / Functional Leadership)

  • Performs contract reviews with outside council.
  • Provides for collections oversight.
  • Liaises with project managers to identify and resolve job costing issues.
  • Performs month-end cost accounting close.
  • Maintains cost accounting system and cost ledger.
  • Performs life cycle cost-benefit analysis.
  • Reviews general ledger accounts and corrects journal entries.
  • Conducts initial internal control evaluations
  • Posts monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.

Requirements & Compliance

Compliance

  • 4-year degree in accounting (or related field) required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience performing contract reviews with outside council.
  • Proven experience with collections oversight.
  • Minimum 5 years job costing experience.
  • CPA certification preferred, (or planning to pursue).
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint ERP a huge plus.
  • Ability to liaise with project managers to identify and resolve job costing issues.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Polished communication skills (both verbal & writing).
  • Highly organized and composed under pressure.
  • Solid management ability: able to manage strict timelines with multiple projects in order to meet deadlines under a high-pressure environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Possesses a keen eye for detail.
