Metz Culinary Management is Hiring a Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager Near Pittsburgh, PA

Looking for a talented and creative Chef to operte a K-5 elementary school kitchen. The chef is responsible for preparing all food items for daily service and managing a staff of 4. He/she is also responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation and safety in the kitchen and work areas.

Shifts are 6am - 3pm. Monday through Friday

Rate based on experience $20 - $25

Must be able to cook "from scratch" , have a passion for food and previous experience with production sheets and food standards

A natural leader iwth a positive attitude and drive to operate with the highest standards

A degree in the Culinary Arts preferred or 5 yrs of work experience is acceptable

***Must pass a Criminal Background check****

If you have the CULINARY CHOPS and passion for current, trending and diverse menus, and are ready to hit the ground running in a fast paced, multi-outlet setting, we would like to hear from you! 

Must have solid kitchen leadership experience. Experience desired in a Contract Dining Food Service setting such as Hospital, School, College, Senior Living or Corporate Dining accounts. A strong Supervisor with solid Culinary Training, ready for the next step would be ideal.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 Plus Years in a Supervisory Experience or Sous Chef
  • High Volume background
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Restaurant Management knowledge
  • Thorough knowledge of Menu implementation with STUNNING presentation ideas
  • Catering Experience
  • Culinary Degree strongly preferred
