RESPONSIBILITIES
The Performance and Compliance Administrator reports to the Director and plays a crucial role in managing financial and operational aspects. This includes overseeing budget submissions, generating regular and project-specific reports, and managing critical accounting functions.
The Administrator collaborates closely with the Bridges & Tunnels department/facilities for budget tracking and reconciliation efforts. They also contribute to the development, evaluation, and presentation of goals, audits, and performance reports in the Operations/Maintenance Department. The role involves creating management reports, conducting operational studies, and undertaking special projects. The Administrator supports initiatives to improve operational and budgetary performance and helps develop schedules for cost-budget analysis for major Capital Transportation Projects.
Facilitate departmental budget-related tasks including preliminary, midyear, and final budgets and forecasts.
Create plans, conduct analyses, and prepare presentations for categories such as Personnel Services, Overtime, OTPS, and Capitalized Assets.
Collaborate with team members to organize special budget initiatives, including cost analyses, budget reduction proposals, and ad-hoc analyses.
Maintain oversight of the department's budget and conduct thorough variance analyses.
Coordinate and prepare reports for submission to the MTA Board and develop strategic business plans.
Supervise production of the department's monthly performance report.
Provide senior management with regular updates on goals and objectives progress.
Select, develop, and motivate personnel within the department, offering career advancement opportunities as appropriate.
Deliver timely coaching and counseling to personnel.
Foster a professional environment that values individual differences and empowers employees.
Enhance communication between Operations central management and facility management personnel.
Oversee administrative functions, including personnel actions.
Formulate and revise personnel hiring plans.
Conduct special projects, address requests for information, and oversee ad-hoc analyses and reports for various stakeholders.
