TA EMPLOYEES MUST BE PERMANENT CIVIL SERVICE ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER I, II, III TO BE CONSIDERED.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for supporting Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) for all of Buses assets, systems, and components. The selected candidate will review and analyze data from various systems, liaise with subject matter experts within the Buses and Original Equipment Manufacturers, and apply industry best practices to ensure maintenance practices are dynamic and data driven. The candidate is expected to investigate and prepare diagrams, flow charts, drawings, calculations, and reports to define and address reliability problems as well as communicate process improvements. The candidate will utilize statistical analysis techniques and facilitate Reliability Studies to optimize maintenance practices, improve asset reliability, lifecycle cost and develop new predictive models.
The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Prognostic Maintenance program for Buses and will liaise with the Prognostic Maintenance Services vendor, subject matter experts within Bus Operations and Depot Management to implement prognostic maintenance and monitor business impacts. The candidate is expected to mine and analyze data, create and monitor key performance metrics, develop reports and communicate effectively. The candidate will utilize statistical analysis techniques and facilitate Reliability Studies to optimize maintenance practices, improve asset reliability and lifecycle costs and develop new predictive models.
Education and Experience
Project Manager
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Architecture, Landscape, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field, and ONE (1) year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects; or
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by the department of education of a state or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of experience as described in 1 above; or
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by the department of education of a state or a recognized accrediting organization plus any combination of experience and/or college education and experience. ONE (1) year of education credit will be given for: (a) each 30 semester credits of college education leading to a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration.
Associate Project Manager I
ONE (1) year of full-time satisfactory experience in supervising employees performing project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating or expediting, on engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects, or supervising a construction project with a value of $1,000,000 or more, and either:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration or public administration, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects; or
A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described in 1 above; or
A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by the department of education of a state or a recognized accrediting organization plus any combination of experience and/or college education as described in 1 above to make up the equivalent of FIVE (5) years of education and experience. ONE (1) year of experience credit will be given for: (a) each 30 semester credits of college education leading to a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, public administration or a related field; (b) a Masters degree from an accredited university in one of the disciplines described in 1 above; or (c) a valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Registered Landscape Architect.
Assignment Level II: Special Requirements
In addition to meeting the qualification requirements for Assignment Level I, candidates must have at least ONE (1) additional year of experience as described in 1 above in a supervisory capacity or have served for at least ONE (1) year as a project manager for a large and/or complex construction project.
Assignment Level III: Special Requirements
In addition to meeting the qualification requirements for Assignment Level I, candidates must have at least TWO (2) additional years of experience as a project manager for a large and/or complex construction project.
