Metroplex Gymnastics in Allen, TX is looking for camp counselors to join our 78 person strong team. We are located on 205 E. Bethany Dr.. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged.

Position Summary

Our Camp Counselors lead children through a variety of activities including team games, gymnastics & ninja activities, swimming, arts & crafts, gym games, weekly special activities, and more. They provide a high level of safety and fun for children from ages three to twelve years.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Engages children in interactive activities including organized arts and crafts, sports activities, games and special activities while maintaining a safe environment
• Co-leads a group of up to 25 campers ages 3-12 (groups are age based) with a fun, positive and outgoing attitude while acting as a role model
• Demonstrates positive attitude and actions through a display of courtesy, service, cooperation, hospitality, sensitivity, and professionalism to internal and external customers 
• Maintains cleanliness and order of camp in order to ensure safety
• Promotes monthly events and activities in order to increase participation and revenue
• Ensures respect of equipment and materials from campers to make sure they last throughout the summer.

Position Requirements

• 1 year of camp experience preferred
• Completion of fingerprinting and other State of Texas Licensing requirements before and within the first 30 days of hire
• First Aid Required within the first 30 days of hire
• Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED required within the first 30 days of hire
• Ability to tolerate loud noises
• Ability to frequently stand; walk; use hands, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; ability to climb ladders

We have 2 different shifts available:

AM camp 7:00am- 2:45pm

PM camp 1:00pm-6:45pm
