Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
Duties:
- Patrol assigned areas and monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Act as a visible deterrent to discourage unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas
- Monitor CCTV cameras and surveillance systems to ensure the safety of the premises
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activities
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential security risks or hazards
- Provide assistance and guidance to visitors, employees, and clients as needed
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and any necessary actions taken
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience in conflict management or related field is a plus
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques is an asset
- Strong observation skills with the ability to quickly assess situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively
- Must be physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods
- Must have a St. Louis County/St. Louis City unarmed security license.
