Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients at the Statis Cannabis Store. Your role will involve monitoring premises, preventing theft, violence, or infractions of rules, and responding to emergencies as needed.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to interact cordially, and effectively communicate with the public and staff. They will possess a strong attention to detail, and can asses and identify critical issues quickly and accurately. The individual will be self-motivated, willing to roll up their sleeves and become part of an exciting team. This is a very unique opportunity!

Responsibilities:

• Consistently exercising good judgement
• Enforce access control procedures and verify identification of individuals entering the premises
• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot, monitors entrances and exits
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions and security concerns and hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of emergency event
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, trespassing or other violations.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
• Always maintain a courteous and professional manner.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot to ensure the security of the premises
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems
• Conduct regular security checks of the premises
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Provide assistance and guidance to customers, employees, and visitors in a professional manner
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of events
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as required

There are physical requirements of walking and standing for majority of the workday.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or security preferred
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR certification is a plus
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques
- Proficient in operating CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Excellent observation skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
