This position will perform a wide range of duties including spay/neuter responsibilities in a high-volume clinic environment and performance of various other small animal surgeries. In addition to surgical responsibilities, the candidate will perform examinations, develop and oversee treatment plans and medical progress of sick and injured animals with the assistance of the Metro East Humane Society’s veterinary technicians and veterinary assistant.

Must be able to work little to no supervision and be self-motivated.
Required license or certification: IL State Veterinarian License

The Metro East Humane Society (MEHS) is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 charitable organization dedicated to promoting the humane and respectful treatment of animals in the Metro East by providing quality animal services including adoption of approximately 1,600 animals each year, advocacy and preventative initiatives through weekly low cost spay/neuter services and monthly vaccine and microchip clinics.
