Job Overview:

As a critical member of the surgical team, the Registered Nurse will undertake a variety of responsibilities including assessing patient conditions, implementing care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes. The role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice while advocating for patient rights and fostering educational opportunities for both healthcare teams and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality and Safety Alignment: Ensure patient and environmental safety by integrating evidence-based practices into nursing care to improve patient outcomes.
• Advocacy and Ethical Care: Champion holistic and ethical care planning to uphold the dignity and autonomy of patients.
• Nursing Professional Practice: Utilize specialized training to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, maintaining essential competencies as required.
• Education Facilitation: Create and promote a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Professional Development Engagement: Participate in ongoing professional growth and adhere to the highest ethical standards as outlined in the nursing profession’s guidelines.
• Leadership in Practice and Community: Lead healthcare teams effectively, ensuring collaboration and appropriate care coordination across the continuum.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Washington Registered Nurse License by time of hire.
• BLS Certification - American Heart Association upon hire.
• At least 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Certification in the area of specialty is preferred.

Candidate Profile:

• 2-5 years of professional nursing experience.
• Demonstrates leadership capabilities with a strong focus on patient care.
• Holds a nursing certification.
• No travel required.
