Full-Time Onsite with Paid Relocation

Our Award Winning Client is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safety Manager to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring that the company's national operations maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within an organization renowned for its numerous industry awards and national scope.

Summary

Join the team at Our Award Winning Client, where you will work closely with Area Managers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to drive and enhance safety initiatives across multiple project sites in Nevada, California, and Hawaii. This position involves extensive regional travel and a hands-on approach to implementing and overseeing the company’s Safety and Health programs, ensuring compliance with corporate standards as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary resource in relation to the company’s safety program and regulations set forth by OSHA, state, and local bodies.
  • Conduct and manage Pre-Construction Safety Planning Meetings and safety orientations for new employees.
  • Maintain and advance the divisional Safety and Health Program, ensuring it surpasses corporate requirements.
  • Ensure diligent follow-up on site evaluations, tracking and rectification of any identified deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with the Risk Management team to identify trends in claims and devise proactive risk management strategies.
  • Monitor and report on safety statistical data promptly to the corporate headquarters.
  • Facilitate Tool Box Talks and participate in safety discussions.
  • Undertake investigations into incidents, focusing on creating opportunities for learning and improvement.
  • Maintain and manage safety documentation and related administrative tasks.
  • Deliver and document employee training specific to their operational roles.
  • Track safety KPIs using the company’s online safety platforms.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety or an equivalent field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of field safety experience in the construction industry.
  • At least 2 years preferred of supervisory experience in construction safety.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction safety and management techniques.
  • Proficient in the use of company programs and in navigating applicable regulations.

Skills and Certifications

  • CHST certification (required)
  • OSHA 510 (required)
