Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an Administrative Director of Cardiovascular Services for Methodist Hospital –Texsan whoorganizes and directs all strategic and business development related functions and activities (internal and external) within his/her realm of responsibility for cardiovascular service line at Methodist Hospital| Metropolitan. Their sphere of influence also includes working with the programs and physicians involved in Cardiovascular Service Line (including cardiovascular surgery), outreach, marketing, community relations, inpatient & outpatient services, various navigation programs, and other services and relationships with external organizations. In collaboration with the Executive team, Physician leaders, establishes goals, objectives and standards of performance; applies and facilitates compliance with operating policies and procedures. Responsible for providing senior strategic and operational leadership for Cardiovascular Service Line within the context of the facility strategic planning cycle, including the development and execution of plans emphasizing clinical excellence, customer service, profitable growth, physician recruitment, engagement and alignment.. What You Will Do In Your Role:

  • Responsible for the overall coordination of clinical services, planning and implementation of new programs, outreach activities, the development of research opportunities, and the coordinating of marketing activities.
  • Leads and oversees implementation of strategic and business development plans to include outreach programs in coordination with senior operations and medical leadership.
  • Collaborates with medical staff and department leaders to solicit feedback regarding the program. Solicits new ideas regarding the function and implements enhanced patient and family services.
  • Works with Nursing leaders to enhance patient experience and through-put initiatives
  • Assures that quality services are provided on a timely basis and in a cost effective manner by all departments in service line.
  • Supports and assists in implementation of programs that promote the mission of the service line and the Facility to improve the health of the communities served.
  • Oversees the development of quality improvement activities for all appropriate services, including written documentation and reporting of results.
  • Development of strategies to market cardiovascular services in a manner that enhances the facility’s other managed care efforts.
  • Represents cardiovascular services to area hospital, physicians and payers in order to generate referral relationships, coordinate outreach and educational programs.
  • Develops written marketing strategies and methods of evaluating such strategies in conjunction with the facility communication department.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Business Administration or related field from an accredited program is required.
  • Master’s Degree in business administration or healthcare administration preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive hospital leadership experience with at least three (3) years in service line, business development, physician relations, or related area
