We are currently seeking a Human Relations Generalist to provide support to Meteor Creative Inc.’s manufacturing team. As a Human Relations Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR functions essential to the success of our organization.
Essential Job Functions and Basic Duties:
Payroll Administration
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees.
  • Maintain payroll records, including deductions, overtime, and leave balances.
  • Address payroll-related queries and issues promptly.
Employee Recruitment
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for hourly positions.
  • Conduct reference checks and coordinate pre-employment assessments.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires.
HRIS System (Paycor)
  • Manage and update the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure data accuracy.
  • Generate HR reports and analyze data for decision-making purposes.
  • Train employees on HRIS system usage as needed.
Manning
  • Collaborate with department heads to determine accurate manning needs.
  • Monitor workforce trends and make recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist in workforce planning to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Employee Engagement
  • Support the development and implementation of employee engagement programs.
  • Conduct surveys and gather feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Organize employee recognition events and initiatives.
Union Relations
  • Maintain positive relationships with union representatives.
  • Assist in resolving employee complaints and grievances in accordance with the union contract.
Benefits Administration
  • Assist new hires in understanding and completing benefit enrollments in the HRIS system.
  • Track and maintain records of new hire benefit enrollments.
  • Coordinate benefit open enrollment activities, including communication and documentation.
Administrative Duties
  • Maintain HR files, records, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.
Preferred Education and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field is preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and HRIS systems. Experience with Paycor is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment:
  • This position typically operates in an office environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required for job fairs, recruitment events, or training.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels is probable.
