Responsibilities :
- Leading Weekly Safety Meetings
- Leading our Safety Committee
- Inspect Facilities and work areas for hazardous conditions
- Work with employees and management team to identify hazards and use problem-solving skills to reduce or eliminate risks
- Manage or develop processes for safe production and handling of materials
- Plan, develop and implement safety training
- Lead incident investigations
- Ensure policies are understood and upheld
- Strengthen the overall safety culture
- Complete task-based risk assessments for processes and equipment use
- Evaluate employee competencies
- Coordinate with management and maintenance teams to ensure projects are completed timely and correctly
- Continuous Improvement tasks such as, evaluating processes and equipment to determine changes to reduce risk or improve quality or production.
