Research Scientist Responsibilities
- Analyze internal user data and/or leverage external surveys for product ideation.
- Create a measurement learning agenda in partnership with the product team.
- Design optimal field or lab experiments for product evaluation and vet client campaigns recruited for the experiment.
- Execute or oversee the execution of experiments and analyze experiment results.
- Liaise with product marketing managers to integrate results into sales and marketing materials.
- Socialize/evangelize research findings generated by broader marketing science research team with relevant product orgs.
- Design hypothesis testing experiments to measure the value of a product or ad strategy.
- Execute or oversee the execution of experiments and analyze experiment results.
- Research, design and develop new algorithms and techniques to improve the efficiency and performance of Meta's platforms.
- Gather data for machine-learning training and train new ranking models.
- Automate analyses and author data pipelines.
- Predict and understand patterns through metric analysis.
- Leverage data and mathematical principles to provide insights about product behavior, inform business decisions.
- Requires a Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and two years of work experience in job offered or data analyst-related occupation. Requires two years of experience in the following:
- Analysis tools: R, Python, Pandas, MATLAB, SAS or Stata
- Applied statistics including sampling approaches, experiments, causal modeling, and data mining techniques
- Research management
- Relational databases and SQL-like query languages and
- Presenting and partnering with technical and non-technical teams.
