Mesa Associates, Inc. is currently seeking an electrical engineering associate to directly support on long standing utility client with project initiations, scoping and estimating. The ideal candidate would have a general working knowledge of substation protection and control design, relaying and yard equipment.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• 0-4 years of relevant Electrical Substation experience
• 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities:

• Assist client engineer with project initiations using client standards and best practices
• Create detailed need statements and scoping documents for project justifications
• Perform substation site visits to determine existing condition of substations for scoping purpose
• Meet customer’s schedule and budget requirements
• Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime as needed

Location Requirements:

The selected candidate will be required to report to the client office in Lexington, KY on a full-time basis. After the candidate has established a satisfactory work history, there may be an option for a hybrid in-office/remote work arrangement.
