JOB GOAL: To provide meaningful instruction in the area of Elementary Art


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop instructional Art objectives for each lesson concerning what students need and should learn and relate them to the course and state standards.
  • Correlate learning activities with instructional objectives and the academic level of the students.
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere conducive to each student’s emotional and behavioral development; one in which the students can develop a sense of worth and dignity.
  • Direct and supervise the conduct of all students in the classroom.
  • Requisition all prescribed instructional materials and supplies necessary to complete the academic year.
  • Establish and maintain parent-teacher communications when necessary through conferences and phone calls.
  • Utilizes approved instructional material and appropriate equipment or technology for educational purposes.
  • Learn, develop, and implement academic strategies and lessons.
  • Establish and maintain regular parent-teacher communication through e-mail, phone calls, and/or written correspondence.
  • Implement all corporation policies, strategies, and programs as they relate to the Corporation
  • All other duties assigned by Principal


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Appropriate State of Indiana license
  • Proven reliability, good organization skills, and ability to work well with students, parents and staff.
  • Strong communication skills including experience in leading professional development.
  • Ability to problem-solve and be a self-starter
