Overview

The primary function of the Desktop Support Level II position is to administer a variety of technical skills related to user support for setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting technical problems within the office and warehouse environments at LeMans Corporate and remote locations.

The primary duties of this position are performed at the corporate office with occasional planned travel in support of IT-owned systems and platforms at remote locations.

Essential Functions

  • Receives requests via trouble ticket, email, Slack, or telephone for assistance on IT-related problems including but not limited to hardware, software, peripherals, printers, and related equipment
  • Determines the severity of problems; resolves or escalates to appropriate technical staff; as appropriate, train’s users in resolving problems
  • Ensures quality customer service to users; ensures proper and accurate feedback on technical problems; coordinates communications between client and technical staff
  • Assists corporate users by providing one-on-one guidance in resolving technical issues
  • Procures, configures, deploys, and maintains computers, printers, scanners, terminals, and peripherals
  • Coordinates equipment repairs; locates vendors and ships parts as needed for repairs; arranges for vendors to perform on-site repairs
  • Maintains asset and inventory management for IT equipment and peripherals
  • Prepares and maintains a variety of logs, records, and reports on Help Desk operations including vendor service logs, purchase orders, inventory, status reports, and problem resolution
  • Experience utilizing remote management tools for supporting remote users and equipment
  • Builds and modifies documentation for technical knowledge base
  • Creates, modifies, and maintains domain user accounts
  • Creates, modifies, and maintains email accounts
  • Communicates technical information to non-technical users
  • Identifies and recommends cost-effective solutions and technical system improvements
  • Maintains strict confidentiality
  • Performs other duties and/or tasks as assigned

Non-Essential Functions

  • Runs reports from Asset Management System
  • Moves computer equipment, weighing over 50 pounds infrequently, around the building
  • Ability to install, repair and maintain computer equipment; requires the use of a ladder
  • RF Radio Support

Required Qualifications and Education

  • Two years' experience in a Help Desk environment or related field
  • Associate’s degree required
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows 10, 11, and Macintosh Operating systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 2019 and 365 Office suite
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory for user administration
  • Basic administration of Microsoft Exchange user accounts, mailboxes, and shared calendars
  • Advanced methods and techniques of troubleshooting issues with computer hardware, printers, software, and peripheral equipment
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of customer service and record keeping
  • Experience working with a ticketing system for trouble tickets
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting while prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
  • Valid Drivers’ License
  • Good Driving Record

Desired Experience

  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022
  • Automation of deploying Microsoft patches, updates, and software applications with Intune
  • Asset management for hardware and software
  • Automated machine imaging solutions
