GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED
Responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production. Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct audits and review/analyze data and documentation
2. Direct liaison from customer to plants on all matters related to product quality.
3. Analyze/direct capability studies for product and equipment and make recommendations for improvements where processes are unstable.
4. Oversee testing of processes and products
5. Manage calibration system, assure equipment and tool compliance to standards
6. Coaching on waste reductions, process improvements, customer complaints, company products, product applications, product specs, quality system procedures, and external standards such as ISO-9001; 2015
7. Analysis of QA inspection results and direct resources toward continuous improvement
8. Lead efforts to identify solid root cause on non-conformances using tools such as 5 Why
9. Support Quality Management with directing daily activities and projects of the Quality Team
10. Work with purchasing to conduct supplier audits to drive continuous improvement, waste elimination, reduce PPM and process standardization.
Requirements MINIMUM PRIOR KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE
1. Proficient in MS Office and Access programs.
2. Requires a bachelor's degree in, preferable in a technical discipline
3. 4-6 years of QA experience and in a manufacturing environment.
4. Experience with six sigma preferred but not required.
5. Familiar with QA concepts, practices, and procedures.

8. Requires outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with all employees and all levels of the organization both internal and external.
9. Working knowledge of ISO-9001 or TS16949
10. Familiar with Government MIL Standards and Specifications.
