We are seeking a Mobile Mental Health Professional to join our team at 660 E. Erie Ave (Behavorial Health Unit) - Philadelphia, Pa .

This posting is for Full Time, First Shift Monday - Friday 10 : 00am - 6 : 00pm* (schedule is subject to change).

Position Details

The Mobile Mental Health Professional will assess an individual and recommend appropriate services based on clinical need as well as an individual’s ability and willingness to participate based on what stage of change they are in.

Additional responsibilities will include :

  • Providing triage, support, crisis counseling, information, and referrals for community members.
  • Performing face to face level of care assessment and facilitating connections to appropriate level of care.
  • Providing face to face crisis counseling and planning.
  • Completing applications for involuntary commitment and arrange emergency psychiatric evaluation as needed.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family or Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong clinical documentation skills and ability to maintain PIRs chart meeting program, local, state, and federal documentation requirements and standards.
  • Motivation to engage PIRs who lack the desire to seek treatment.
  • Must possess crisis management and de-escalation skills.
  • Above average demonstration of : empathy, rolling with resistance, supporting self-efficacy, managing confrontation, and developing discrepancy.
  • Possess ability to establish rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Effective and timely communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced rapidly changing environment with individuals that are actively experiencing crisis situations.
