Mental Health Assn of Nassau County is Hiring an Information Technology Manager Near Hempstead, NY

Description

Mental Health Association of Nassau County (MHANC) is a not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to improving mental health in our community through advocacy, education, program development and the delivery of direct services. Our organization is looking for a motivated individual with a calling to help adults with mental illness by becoming an Information Technology Manager (IT Manager). 

The IT Manager directs the operation of Information technology for the Mental Health Association of Nassau County, Inc. (MHANC). As IT Manager for MHANC, the IT Manager will ensure the proper adherence to security policies, procedures, and practices. IT Manager ensures proper IT system operations and plans towards necessary upgrades to ensure proper IT functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, manage and oversee adherence of security policies and procedures in consultation with MHANC’s Privacy Officer, Corporate Compliance Committee, and Executive Director
  • Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network to ensure appropriate protection and safeguards for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of ePHI
  • Oversee the dissemination of security policies and procedures to MHANC’s end-users, vendors and partnering entities which have access to ePHI
  • Partner with IT MSP-Vendor(s) to respond to security incident, including but not limited to, breaches, violations, and system hacking while overseeing IT MSP-Vendor(s) contracts, ensuring service agreements are implemented and vendor relationships are in good standing
  • Investigate user issues, hardware and applications while analyzing the source to determine possible solutions; tests and implements solutions (PC’s, Laptops, Chromebooks, Thin Clients)
  • Assist IT MSP in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of organizations IT equipment, including but not limited to Workstations, network cabling and other related equipment, devices and systems. Upgrades and configures printers and related equipment
  • Implement account control procedures, including employee account additions, terminations, changes and passcode updates, conduct quarterly account audit
  • Coordinate wireless accounts, orders, billing, activations, mobile device management product install, terminations; troubleshoot issues (smart phones, tablets, desktops, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education 

Must have Bachelors in IT, or related field degree; Master’s Degree in IT or related field, preferred

Experiences

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing security systems in a health care agency, required
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical end-users
  • Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques
  • Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications

Driving

“clean” NY State driver’s license, required. Travel to various MHANC sites within Nassau County approximately 25% of time.
