DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work incoming referral for approval in a timely manner

• Preauthorization for required modalities

• Check and verify demographics and eligibility

• Send out provider notification- approval and or denials

• Verify all insurance mailing address, and CPT codes

• Confirm approved diagnosis

• Convert ICD9 to ICD-10 if necessary

• Send approvals to scheduling department

• Call patient and make them aware of benefits

Familiar with deductible and co-insurance

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
We're looking for dependable and professional candidates with at least 4-5 year of recent medical/radiology Billing Department experience, computer skills, a High School Diploma, medical terminology knowledge, and working knowledge of insurances (PPO’s, HMO’s insurances). Applicants will also need the ability to multi-task, possess EXCELLENT customer service skills, display great communication skills, and provide strong attention to detail with the ability to exhibit empathy towards patients and referring physicians.
