JOB SUMMARY:

The Facility Lead is expected to deliver the highest direct and indirect patient care possible. The Facility Lead will be a leader and is responsible for the operation of their facility and facility staff under the direction of the Clinical Manager in accordance with clinical guidelines. Responsible for coordinating staff schedules, patient flow, operating all systems for routine, specialty and research studies, supporting protocol development, and performing all duties related to scanning and image processing. Consistently follows proper patient screening/care protocols and provides accurate documentation associated with each exam while supporting expedited patient throughput and diagnosis. Coordinates patient flow through the departments. Assists in duties necessary to expedite service and diagnosis and improve customer service/patient care. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Independently performs high quality diagnostic studies on all systems according to specified protocols for routine, specialty and research studies. Assists in developing and evaluating new technical procedures and products. 

2. Is responsible for tech schedules and making sure all exams are completed, rescheduled or canceled correctly. 

3. Ensures all documentation is complete and accurate, including that associated with patient billing. Practices coordinating and scanning techniques in support of optimized patient throughput and diagnosis. Assures proper use of magnet time on a consistent basis. 

4. Demonstrates a working knowledge of EXA PACS, computer systems and information system. Is responsible for orienting, training, and monitoring new employees in all aspects of the equipment, and patient safety rules. 

5. Will assume “on call” responsibilities as needed to ensure that the facility is always adequately covered and helps reduce overtime by being proactive and using problem solving skills. 

6. Ability to troubleshoot equipment, contact vendor as needed, maintain accurate records of equipment failure and report progress. 

7. Properly reviews patient medical information prior to imaging, assists in patient teachings while demonstrating empathy, and monitors each patient to ensure quality patient care. Responsibly communicates information concerning patient exams to Radiologists and attending physicians.

8. Consistently applies MR, CT, and other modality safety procedures in accordance with prescribed standards for any individual operating equipment. 

9. Follows all safety rules while on the job. Reports accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards.

10. Responsible for creating a professional work environment. 

11. Responsible for communicating with all radiologists when needed. 

12. Training the staff to scrub the schedule correctly and try to reduce patient wait time and efficiency. 

13. Provides training to all student or new technologists when assigned to that facility. 

14. Ensures that all certifications such as ACR, FDA and or Certificate of Registration are always up to date. 

15. Will assume responsibility for taking calls, questions and patient calls after hours when needed. 

16. Ensures that all physicist equipment performance evaluations are done as regulated by law. 

17. Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  2. Minimum of 2 years in Diagnostic Imaging
  3. Must be ARRT OR RT Registered
  4. Proficient with MS Office and Excel
  5. Proficient knowledge of applicable laws
  6. Strong people skills
  7. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
