We are looking for a Business Development Officer to serve members. We work in a collaborative work environment where we are motivated to redefine what the "member experience" looks like at all levels of the organization. This role will support external member experience by providing in-person financial knowledge and services to members of Member One FCU.

JOB SUMMARY: A Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying, developing, and potentially closing new revenue and profit streams. A Business Development Officer responsibilities may range from finding new customers to managing existing business relationships.

• Analyzing current and past financial data and providing strategies to cut costs and increase revenue
• Leading the charge on market research plans to identify new opportunities
• Working with executives to implement marketing strategies and new opportunities
• Encouraging new and existing clients by creating and improving proposals
• Tracking expenses and maintaining the company budget
• Ensuring that the company meets revenue targets
• Developing and pitching ideas for potential investors
• Developing and sustaining solid relationships with company stakeholders and customers.
• Analyzing customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products and services.
• Providing insight into product development and competitive positioning.
• Analyzing financial data and developing effective strategies to reduce business costs and increase company profits.
• Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities.
• Collaborating with company executives to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue new business opportunities.
• Meeting with potential investors to present company offerings and negotiate business deals.
• Acts as a steward for “People Standards” to enhance internal and external member experience and service levels in daily operations.
• Comply with all federal regulations, Credit Union policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy and the USA Patriot Act.
• Comply with all fair lending laws and the prohibitions enumerated in the Credit Union’s lending policy.
• Actively supports the mission, vision, and core values of the Credit Union to deliver excellent service.
Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
Experience Requirements:
2 - 4 years of professional experience.
Additional Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage workload.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong networking skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent pc skills utilizing various current software packages.
