Medical Office Assistant

Position: We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Office Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy, very proficient with insurance verification, prior authorizations, some accounting and billing. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Assist with patient intake
- Provide patient education on procedures, medications, and follow-up care
- Maintain cleanliness and organzation of the front office area
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Handle some billing and coding tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a medical office or for a healthcare provider
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy,
- Proficiency in coding and billing procedures
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Availity, Insurance websites
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred, but not required
