Careers that Change LivesA Day in the LifeJob Description:Your role as a QA Manual and Automation Engineer is to write test case protocols, scripts and create automation environments forrepeated tests. Using different automation tools, you will design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions. Your goal is to develop the right mix of manual, exploratory tests and automate as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimum set of code. This role will be part of an Agile development team servicing the DigitalHealth portfolio in Acute Care & Monitoring Operating UnitSkills Required:• Technical Skills – Require programming skills to write computer code and scripts in commoncomputer languages, such as Javascript, Groovy• Suggest or make testing framework enhancements to accommodate the test automation needs• Examine and triage bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through manual or automated testing processes• Attention to detail – Being detail oriented is required as you will test web and mobile applications to find ways to improve them and isolate problems• Communication skills – Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and create testing plans and written reports showing errorsTools:• Automation testing tools: Selenium, Katalon, Postman for web applications and API testing• JIRA – Backlog work items, task creation, and issue tracking• Helix – Test case documentation, requirements traceability, and defect tracking• Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins, GitLab Runner• Familiarity with Mobile automation testing tools for Android, iOS, and cross-platform onesResponsibilities:• Participate in Agile sprint planning, daily standup, demo, and retrospective meetings• Write, design, and execute manual tests by creating test protocols that provide desired functional testing coverage• Write, design, and execute automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically• Write documentation for manual and automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases/requirements traceability• Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system• Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios• Build test automation frameworks• Log and document bugs in the tracking system• Set up Continuous Integration pipelines.Education Required: • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Software Engineering or Software Development degree program or comparable on the job experience with another B.S. degree.

  • Bachelors degree required
