Overview of the role

The Vice President of Business Development will be part of a small team of driven sales professionals. Highly motivated and determined, you will develop new and expand existing business opportunities within the healthcare market research industry. As well as being an expert relationship builder, you will actively network to identify potential opportunities and work collaboratively to build strategies to meet client needs.

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Build a strong and effective pipeline, open new doors, and close deals by being a consultative partner and positioning MedSurvey as best-in-class to meet customer data collection needs
  • Track and report key sales metrics on a regular basis, build and maintain accurate sales forecasts, and meet or exceed sales targets among agency and consulting firm clients
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally within MedSurvey to build effective sales strategies that are tailored to customer needs and solve for pain points
  • Set delivery teams up for success by clearly defining and articulating project scope and client expectations
  • Effectively balance customer and MedSurvey needs that leads to business growth while ensuring a profitable business.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in the healthcare market research industry
  • Proven track record of exceeding targets among agency and consulting firm clients
  • Strong understanding of and experience in market research delivery and operations
  • Outstanding, impactful, and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to initiate client conversations and meeting through cold calling, cold emailing, and other outbound sales techniques
  • Results-oriented, customer-centric mindset with great attention to detail
  • Strong follow-through, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to build positive and strategic relationships across all levels of an organization that influence buying decisions
  • A passion for curiosity and learning and a drive to succeed
  • Ability to manage complex challenges and address them head-on
  • Inspired by setting stretch goals and putting in the work to achieve them
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work autonomously to meet goals
  • Ability to travel to meet clients and attend industry events
