MedStar’s Patient Financial Services Billing Team is currently seeking an experienced, part time, Patient Accounts Specialist to join our amazing team. We are specifically looking for candidates with healthcare billing experience who have working knowledge of UB04 and/or HCFA 1500 forms and the ability to read/interpret an explanation of benefits. 
Part time schedule, 20-hours per week with flexible day shift hours (7am - 12pm). Position works on-site in the business office located in Nottingham, Maryland.
Job Summary - Processes daily billing to include review and correction of daily edits to ensure that payments are met in a timely manner and that benchmarks are met. Ensures compliance with Federal regulations. Work must meet QA standards to ensure both departmental and Patient Financial Services benchmarks are met.
More About the Billing Team –
The Billing Team is responsible for the processing of all Third-Party Billing, Medical Record Correspondence Requests and Electronic Payer Rejections for all payers except Medicare. We work closely with other various internal Patient Accounting departments and customers to resolve claims issues so that a clean timely claim is submitted to the payer.
