Job Type: Part-Time (Weekends)
Location: Queens, NY
Shifts:
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 PM - 10:00 AM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Job Description:
We are looking for a reputable Urgent Care facility in Queens to find a skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner for weekend coverage. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic healthcare team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care during weekend shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide prompt and accurate diagnoses.
- Administer appropriate treatments and medications under the guidance of established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and support staff to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary for comprehensive patient evaluations.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date electronic medical records.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, preventive care, and overall health.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients and their families.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.
- Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Urgent Care settings.
- Proficiency in common Urgent Care procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work the specified weekend shifts.
