Responsibilities:
- Analyze health care data and provide insights and recommendations to improve patient outcomes and cost-efficiency.
- Utilize IT systems and tools for data mining and analysis.
- Collaborate with health care providers, administrators, and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for implementation.
- Manage health information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to managed care.
- Use Epic software to extract, analyze, and interpret data for reporting purposes.
- Participate in HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) initiatives to measure and improve the quality of care provided.
- Apply medical terminology knowledge to accurately interpret and analyze health care data.
- Contribute to system design and development projects to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for data mining and analysis.
- Knowledge of managed care principles and practices.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
- Experience with HEDIS initiatives is preferred.
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology.
Salary per hour $30-$35
