*** Medical Assistant-NEPHROLOGY***

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required.

This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, This is located in Chesapeake, VA 23320
Responsibilities :
A Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant- Nephrology :
As a Medical Assistant- Nephrology in the outpatient clinic, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care while abiding by all HIPAA laws and regulations in an outpatient clinic setting. Your role is instrumental in the assessment process for the clinic visit which includes obtaining vitals, reconciliation of medication, rooming patients, documentation in patient charts (EHR), calling in prescriptions to the pharmacy, completing follow-up phone calls to patients, clinical and clerical duties, injections, assisting the provider during the patient's visit, and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This client is looking for a dynamic and positive team member to add to their office. This position is in Chesapeake, VA 23320.
Requirements for the Medical Assistant- Nephrology :

• Required: Must have clinical medical office setting experience. Preferred a Certified MA or Registered MA, but NOT REQUIRED. If not registered or certified must at least have a strong work experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Required: Must have at least 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Required: Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
• Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
• Required: Must be reliable and a quick learner and can multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment.
• Required: Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Preferred: Experienced with Kidney Specialty
